Nationals of any country must have a valid passport to enter Japan. In addition, people coming from certain countries must have a visa issued by the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in their country.

Please consult your local Japanese Embassy or Consulate as to whether or not a visa is required. It can sometimes take more than a month to obtain a visa, therefore, please plan in advance if you need a visa to enter Japan.

For general information on visas, please visit the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan at: http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/
Upon request, the Secretariat will issue a letter of invitation and necessary documents to those who need a visa and have completed registration.

The "VISA Documents Request Form" is available here.

Please download the "VISA Documents Request Form" and make sure to fill in all the blanks. After filling in the form, please send it to the Secretariat by E-mail (jrc2016@congre.co.jp)

*Visa assistance deadline: January 29, 2016

Notes:

Registration and payment must be completed before the letter of invitation can be issued.
The letter of invitation is issued to assist participants with travel arrangements, and it does not imply a commitment to provide any financial support.
For visa application status, please directly contact the diplomatic mission to which you applied for your visa.
Those who are not flying directly to Japan may need a transit visa in some countries to continue their travel.
